Understanding Hanging Weight Pricing
Hanging weight is the weight of the carcass after slaughter, before butchering. This is the industry-standard way to price beef.
Take-home weight is typically 60-70% of hanging weight after processing (removing bones, trimming, etc.).
Processing costs are paid directly to our local butcher and cover cutting, wrapping, and freezing to your specifications.
